Sophie is the new barefoot ballet shoe from Be Lenka and is a lovely addition to the range. They are on a new sole unit which is not as wide as other options from Be Lenka and more of a medium width. We have been delighted with the fit though, the toe box is a nice shape and the shoe fits well around the ankle which, along with a soft elastic band around the upper, keeps it secure on the foot. Sophie has a suede leather upper with a textile lining and a removable 2mm microfibre insole with a non-slip top layer. The sole is zero drop and and nice and flexible. It is 6mm thick giving an 8mm stack height with the insole in. New for SS23 Sophie has a re-designed heel profile which is slightly lower for added comfort.

Fitting Information The ballet shoe sole is not as wide as the other Be Lenka sole units. It suits a medium width and medium to wide feet nicely. Similar in width to the Xero Phoenix but the sizing is a little different so a nice option if you find yourself between sizes in the Phoenix. It is also a little narrower on the heel than the Phoenix so better for narrower ankles.
