Bobux Kid+ Splash Boot Yellow

The Bobux Splash Boots are a waterproof boot designed for wet weather play. The boots sit just above the ankle and comprise a water repellent leather upper with a polyurethane canvas gaiter top and an internal waterproof membrane to help keep feet dry and snug.  They have a gusseted zip front opening for easy on and off and a toggle to top to keep them secure and reduce water ingress over the top. Please note that these boots are waterproof to just below the elastic collar however a fabric upper and a short boot will never be as waterproof as a wellington boot.  Water will ingress over the top when wading or splashing and a fabric upper will never be as waterproof as a rubber wellington.  However, they will be lighter, softer and easier to wear than a wellington and are a great alternative for wet weather play.  We don't recommend for wading and puddle jumping though!  The soft bamboo knit lining helps them to dry quickly and keeps them nice and light and breathable.   The boot is on the narrower fitting Play sole from Bobux which is a zero-drop thin and flexible sole.  It is however a little stiffer than other options on this sole due to the waterproof glues that are necessary for a waterproof boot.   Just like a waterproof coat regular re-proofing of the fabric will be necessary and waterproofness will reduce over time. We recommend brushing off excess dirt, wiping clean with a damp cloth and regularly applying a waterproofing spray like the Waterstop.  We also recommend wearing with a waterproof trouser that comes over the top of the boot to reduce water getting in this way.
