With a fresh selection of barefoot shoes arriving for spring and summer, this feels like a good time to show off our expanding range of Bobux footwear for your little ones.
Bobux Step up
Step Up is designed for children who are new to walking, where balance is still developing and movement is exploratory. The range prioritises flexibility through the sole, a gentle, lightweight structure, and soft uppers that move easily with the foot.
Within Step Up, the Xplorer remains one of Bobux's most recognisable designs. It is popular for its low weight, simple fastening and soft construction, making it suitable for indoor and early outdoor use during this stage.
Bobux i-Walk
i-Walk is intended for more confident walkers who are spending longer periods on their feet and covering greater distance. Compared to Step Up, the soles are slightly more durable while remaining flexible, and the uppers are designed to cope with regular outdoor wear.
The range includes everyday shoes as well as seasonal wear, offering continuity for those who prefer to remain within the Bobux family as walking becomes more established.
Bobux Alpha
The Alpha range is built around flexibility and proportion. Soles are designed to bend easily through the forefoot, with minimal resistance under load. Toe boxes allow space for natural toe splay, and the overall weight remains low to reduce interference with movement.
Fastenings are practical and adjustable, supporting day‑to‑day wear and comfortable fitting. Across the range, materials are chosen for durability and regular use. Alpha have a great range of school shoes that are both comfortable and tough.
Who are Bobux for?
Bobux footwear is designed for children whose feet are still developing and changing shape, where flexibility, proportion and lightness really matter. Across the ranges, the fit generally suits average‑width feet, with shapes that allow room through the forefoot while keeping the rest of the shoe feeling contained and wearable.
In terms of function, Bobux shoes are built to move with the foot rather than manage it. Soles remain flexible under pressure, uppers soften with wear, and fastenings are chosen for their ability to adjust easily as feet change. This makes them workable across different foot depths and stages of growth, without requiring constant re‑assessment.
In use, Bobux footwear is intended for everyday life. From tentative early steps through to more confident, all‑day movement, the ranges are designed to keep pace with growing feet across school days, play, and the ordinary rhythms of being active. They are uncomplicated shoes, worn regularly, and built to support movement without fuss.
What’s new for 2026, and what we stock
For 2026, our stock of Bobux shoes brings summer right to the forefront. There are new models, and a great expansion in the choice of colours.
In Step Up, familiar favourites continue, including the Xplorer. New colourways sit alongside playful details, with animal‑themed designs appearing for the first time in the range. There is also a new trainer‑inspired shape, offering something a little different in look while keeping the same lightweight feel and flexibility that Step Up is known for.
The i‑Walk range expands more noticeably this year. There are new trainers, a smart new school shoe, and a broader selection of sandals, giving more options for children who are on their feet for longer stretches of the day. Some styles lean towards classic shapes, while others are more casual, but all follow the same practical approach to fit and durability.
In Alpha, the updated barefoot platform continues to be the foundation. New additions sit alongside established styles, including updated summer sandals, comfy shoes that are ready for all day play, and refreshed colourways in existing designs.
Why we chose to stock them
Bobux has been part of the Happy Little Soles story for a long time. For many families, and for us too, it was often one of the first brands that felt intuitively right.
Over the years, our understanding of barefoot footwear has become more defined, and so has our approach to what we stock. That has meant making changes, sometimes stepping back from familiar names while we reassessed how well they aligned with where we were heading. Bobux has been part of that conversation.

What has brought Bobux back into clearer focus for us is how the ranges look and feel now compared to earlier iterations. The shoes are lighter, with soles that are shaped for the foot not the other way around. Design choices have been made with practicality in mind, guided by use, not statement.
We also know Bobux from the ground up. We understand how the ranges fit, how they wear over time, and where they work best. That familiarity matters, and it allows us to stock the brand with an experienced eye and see how it sits alongside the rest of our collection.
Bringing Bobux back into a fuller view at Happy Little Soles reflects where our relationship now sits. The shoes fit naturally within the way we talk about barefoot footwear today, and within the everyday lives they are designed for.
Fit, sizing and suitability
Bobux Step Up are for new walkers, ready for their first adventures on two feet. They are light flexible and fit most foot shapes, and offer just enough protection while still allowing feet to move, balance, and explore freely as their confidence begins to grow.
Bobux i‑Walk is designed for children moving confidently. Great for medium width feet, with tougher, but still flexible soles that can stand up to all day play without losing their barefoot feel.
The Bobux Alpha range is designed for active kids on the go and reflects a more barefoot‑aligned shape. It generally suits average‑width feet, with good forefoot space, flexible soles and practical adjustability.
