A Practical Solution
Vegan Friendly
Slipfree have paired a soft, stretchy, quick-drying fabric upper with an incredibly thin and flexible non-slip sole to create a shoe that feels more like swim socks than a traditional water shoe. They are ideal for hot sand, scorching poolside tiles, pebbley beaches, boat trips and splash parks, protecting feet without compromising on the barefoot freedom.
One of our favourite details is the UPF 50+ fabric. We all apply sun cream, but often the feet get left out, especially on holiday where they are in and out of water and exposed all day. Slipfree dry quickly enough to move seamlessly between water and land and are comfy enough to keep on.
Although most of us first wear Slipfree on holiday, many pairs never make it back into the suitcase. We've seen them used in nurseries, yoga classes and as everyday slippers long after the sun cream has been packed away.
They are completely vegan-friendly, and lightweight enough to add last-minute to a suitcase or stuff in a pocket or bag. They also come in a huge range of designs for kids, juniors, and adults. In short, they are the holiday hero we all need!
The Slipfree Fit
Designed to fit close to the foot so they stay on during swimming, paddling, and play in and out of the water, the super thin sole means there's very little between your foot and the ground. With no straps or laces to adjust, getting the size right is particularly important.
Slipfree aqua shoes fit more like a sock than a shoe. Designed to fit close to the foot so they stay on during swimming, paddling and water play, the super-thin sole means there's very little between the foot and the ground. With no straps or laces to adjust, getting the size right is especially important.
One of the quirks of Slipfree is their stretchy construction. Unlike traditional footwear, each size can accommodate a range of foot sizes, so measuring the foot and checking it against the size chart is more useful than relying on a child's current shoe size.
In our experience, Slipfree work best with a comfortably close fit. Some customers, particularly those with lower-volume feet, have reported a "flappy" feeling when there is too much space inside the shoe. While a little wiggle room is perfectly normal, we'd recommend checking measurements carefully rather than buying significantly larger for growth.
Our experience of the fit:
- Length: Generally true to the size chart.
- Volume: Stretchy and accommodating, but often works best on average to higher-volume feet.
- Width: Flexible fabric adapts well to different foot shapes.
- Sizing advice: Measure first, then choose the closest size rather than simply sizing up.

Why We Love Them
We love that Slipfree hasn't overcomplicated things. The shoe stays largely the same, but the designs just keep coming. From sharks and dinosaurs to shimmering leopard print and Harry Potter favourites, there's a pattern for almost every personality.
They're also one of the few brands where the adults can get just as jealous as the kids. In fact, we'd argue choosing your favourite design is often the hardest part of buying a pair. 😊
