Realfoot has built a loyal following for doing things differently. The brand has faced challenges behind the scenes, but with new investment and support, they’ve come through it stronger. Now firmly back in production, it’s brilliant to see the brand continuing to grow and bring their foot-shaped designs to more people.
Origins

Realfoot at Happy Little Soles
Our collection of Realfoot shoes focuses on footwear built around a very particular fit and feel. Maximum toe space, a flexible, low-profile sole, and shapes that work for everyday movement are hallmarks of this range.
In our collection, you'll find designs to cover everyday functions, including hiking boots, smart casual leather sneakers, and activewear training shoes, including:
City Jungle – a clean, low-cut leather shoe designed for everyday urban wear, with a slightly more refined, ankle-friendly shape.
Trekker Low Vegan – a more flexible, lighter alternative to the Trekker High, suited to everyday wear but still capable on light trails and in wet conditions.
Copero Sneakers – a simple, understated leather trainer that works as an easy, everyday option without feeling overly sporty.
Natural Runner – the most performance-focused style, lightweight and breathable, designed with running and higher-impact movement in mind.
Pulse Sneakers – an all-round everyday trainer, sitting comfortably between casual and sporty, making it one of the most versatile styles in the range.
Trekker High Boots – the most protective option in the range, built for proper outdoor use with waterproofing and a higher cut for support on rougher terrain.
Highlander Boots – a winter-ready option, bringing together water resistance, insulation and a vegan construction for colder conditions.
As you can see, the difference is obvious straight away. Realfoot shoes have a distinctive, almost angular silhouette, with a broad, square toe box that looks very different from most barefoot brands. That extra width is there to allow full toe splay for even the widest feet.
If you have tried barefoot brands and not yet managed to find a shoe that accommodates your extra-wide feet comfortably, Realfoot might just be the shoe for you.
Size and Fit
The Realfoot shape is a true fan, narrower through the heel and midfoot, then opening out dramatically at the front to give the toes proper room to spread.
In terms of sizing, Realfoot generally fits true to size in length, and the brand recommends allowing 0.5-1.2cm growing room in front of the toes, depending on your preference. The sole unit is thin and flexible at around 4mm with minimal tread so you are getting excellent ground feel alongside that generous fit.
Finding insoles to fit wide shoes can be tricky, but Realfoot's Enduro and Standard insoles mean you don't have to worry if you like an extra layer of cushioning in your shoes.
Why We Love Realfoot
We love Realfoot for doing things differently, putting fit first and staying true to a genuinely foot-shaped design.
Known for offering one of the widest fits available, they prioritise space where it matters most, without compromising on flexibility or feel.
Even after a challenging period, their commitment hasn’t wavered, and it’s been brilliant to see them return, stronger than ever, continuing to create shoes that really respect natural movement.
