Barefoot may be best but, in addition to shoes, there are times we need something extra to keep our little one's feet warm and cosy. That is where good quality socks, come in. Choosing the right ones is so important and we have done quite a bit of homework on this, putting together a range that is as healthy as possible for little feet whilst being as fun and quirky as our shoes! What to look for in a sock... A poorly fitting sock can be detrimental to foot health and development so a good fit is all-important. The sock shouldn’t be too restrictive around the toes and should have enough stretch to allow room for toes to spread and move. The toe seams should be minimal and flat, without corners which can pinch and pull. Choose a style with a well formed heel, rather than a tube like construction, as this prevents too much pull around the toes. All footwear should be made primarily of breathable natural fibres but look for additions that provide softness and stretch. Try not to tumble dry socks and tights as they tend to shrink and always check the fit when you check their shoes.
