Review. Xero Women’s Gracie Rain Boot.
I’ve been on the hunt for a barefoot-friendly wellington boot for years and, honestly, I had almost given up when I was shown the Xero Gracie Rain Boot. To top it off, they come in yellow—my favourite colour—which was just the icing on the cake. After wearing them on and off for six months in all kinds of weather, I can honestly say I’m really impressed.
The look

I’m a big fan of how these boots look. They have that classic rain boot shape, but with a roomy, comfortable toe box. The design is minimalist, with just a few subtle lines around the heel. The smooth rubber finish makes them easy to clean, and (at least so far) they don’t seem to mark or scuff permanently. I absolutely love the bright yellow, but for those who prefer something a bit more understated, they’re also available in green and black.
The Soles
The sole is wonderfully flexible, with just the right amount of traction to keep you from slipping. I’ve worn these in snow and ice without any issues—which I can’t say for a lot of other boots I’ve tried. The sole is fairly thin, so when I first wore them, they felt a little cold on the feet. However, a thermal insole solved that problem, and I’d definitely recommend adding one for extra warmth.
Sizing and Fit
The fit is excellent, with a nice, generous toe box and a properly sized heel and arch. The material of the boot moves naturally with my foot while walking, so they’re very comfortable for extended wear. I’d say they’re true to size for a rain boot, which means they have room for thicker socks or an insole without feeling too tight or restrictive
Weight
These boots are incredibly lightweight, but despite that, they’ve proven to be durable. After six months of regular use, they still look brand new—no signs of wear and tear, which is pretty impressive.

I absolutely love these rain boots. They’re comfortable, flexible, and exactly what I’ve been looking for. If I could change one thing, I’d love to see a longer version in the future, so here’s hoping!
