The Freet Arken 2 Boot in Black is a minimalist barefoot-inspired winter boot designed to keep the foot warm, dry and comfortable in rain, snow and cold trail conditions. Built for performance and sustainability, this vegan-friendly boot features a durable BottleYarn upper woven from recycled plastic bottles, making it an excellent choice for winter hiking, outdoor adventures and everyday wear.
Lined with soft microfleece for warmth and comfort, the Arken 2 is equipped with a waterproof membrane to provide reliable protection in challenging weather conditions. Built on Freet's HillGrip sole unit, it delivers excellent traction across hard, muddy and uneven trails.
The HillGrip outsole features 4mm lugs with a deep tread pattern for confident grip in muddy conditions. The wide-fitting, flexible zero-drop sole encourages natural foot movement, while the removable 3mm shock-absorbing insole allows the level of cushioning and barefoot feel to be customised. The stack height is 10.5mm with the removable insole (including the 4mm lugs) or 7.5mm without the insole.
With its wide, foot-shaped fit, waterproof construction and warm lining, the Arken 2 is an excellent barefoot winter hiking boot for anyone seeking natural movement, all-weather protection and vegan-friendly performance.
